Wazaaaa
I thought I'd try writing an email again
This week was cool, we've been taking members to lessons a lot and trying to get the whole ward excited about growing.
A ton of people came to church, like the highest attendance in a long time, Adriana, Jorge and Gael came, they're an awesome family, we're just getting them to get married so they can get baptized.
Erika is someone we found knocking doors, and then we started teaching her family.
Her, and two of her brothers kids came to church and want to get baptized: Kathian and Oseal.
We've been teaching quite a few family members of less-active members and they're progressing really well.
It's super cool to see how much happier people are when they start following Jesus
3 Nephi 20: 8-9 says
"And he said unto them: He that eateth this bread eateth of my body to his soul; and he that drinketh of this wine drinketh of my blood to his soul; and his soul shall never hunger nor thirst, but shall be filled.
9 Now, when the multitude had all eaten and drunk, behold, they were filled with the Spirit; and they did cry out with one voice, and gave glory to Jesus, whom they both saw and heard."
This is specifically about the sacrament but he uses the example of our souls having hunger a few times.
In chapter 27 Jesus says:
"16 And it shall come to pass, that whoso repenteth and is baptized in my name shall be filled; and if he endureth to the end, behold, him will I hold guiltless before my Father at that day when I shall stand to judge the world."
I think the example of our soul having hunger is pretty accurate, when we don't follow Jesus or what he teaches we feel pretty crappy.
And when we do what he asks us to do he fills our souls and we feel a lot better.
Kinda like when you're hungry and you're grumpy and tired but then you eat, or in this case follow Jesus you feel a lot better.
Jesus is awesome, the scriptures are awesome, you guys are awesome
Thanks for the care package
Have an awesome week!!!🤘🤠
